What is Accounted?

Accounted is a mobile app designed for businesses that buy stock in bulk and sell in smaller quantities. It helps you track inventory, manage transactions with suppliers and customers, calculate profits, and maintain accurate financial records - all offline on your device.

Who is Accounted for?

Accounted is perfect for small to medium businesses involved in wholesale and retail, such as grocery stores, hardware shops, agricultural suppliers, and any business that purchases stock in bulk and sells in smaller quantities. It's designed for business owners who need professional stock management without complexity.

What platforms does Accounted support?

Accounted is available for both Android and iOS devices. The app works on smartphones and tablets, providing a consistent experience across all devices.

Does Accounted require internet connection?

No! Accounted is fully offline-first. All your data is stored locally on your device, so you can use all features without an internet connection. This ensures fast performance and complete privacy.

Is my data safe?

Yes! Your data is stored locally on your device and never sent to external servers. You have complete control over your business information. We recommend regularly exporting your data (Premium feature) as a backup.

Features & Functionality

What's the difference between receiving and giving jobs?

+

Receiving Jobs are when you purchase stock from suppliers. They increase your inventory and may create debt to suppliers if not paid in full.

Giving Jobs are when you sell stock to customers. They decrease inventory, add money to your stock place, and calculate profit automatically.

How does profit calculation work?

Accounted automatically calculates profit for each giving job using this formula:

Profit = Sale Price - Original Cost - Driver Fee

The app tracks the original purchase cost of each stock item and factors in all expenses to give you accurate profit margins.

What is a stock place?

+

A stock place is a physical location where you store inventory. It could be a warehouse, shop, storage facility, or any location. Each stock place tracks its own inventory and money balance. Free tier allows 1 stock place, Premium allows unlimited.

Can I transfer stock between places?

Yes! Premium users can transfer stock between multiple stock places. The app maintains a complete record of all transfers with dates, quantities, and notes.

How does driver management work?

+

Premium feature: Assign drivers to jobs and calculate driver fees automatically using a formula or custom amounts. Driver fees are tracked in driver balances and factored into profit calculations. The default formula is: 76.20 + 19.02 × (Volume)^0.5621

Premium users can also input their own custom driver fee formulas in the app settings, allowing you to tailor calculations to your specific business needs and local market rates.

Is there a free version?

Yes! The free version is fully functional and free forever. It includes 1 stock place, unlimited people and jobs, profit tracking, and dashboard analytics. It's perfect for small operations or trying out the app.

What's included in Premium?

Premium includes: Unlimited stock places, driver management, automatic driver fee calculation, profit split features, data export/import, data backup, priority support, and all future premium features.

How much does Premium cost?

6-Month License: $80.00 (one-time payment)
12-Month License: $120.00 (save $40 - best value)

No subscriptions, no recurring charges. Pay once, use for 6 or 12 months.

Is this a subscription?

No! It's a one-time payment for time-based access. You pay once and get premium features for 6 or 12 months. No automatic renewals. When your license expires, you can choose to renew or continue using the free tier.

What happens when my license expires?

Your account reverts to the free tier. You won't lose any data, but premium features will be locked. You can renew anytime to regain access. The app will warn you 30 days before expiration.

Can I get a refund?

No, we do not offer refunds. All license purchases are final. We strongly recommend trying the free tier first to ensure Accounted meets your needs before purchasing premium. The free tier includes all core features so you can fully evaluate the app.

License Activation

How do I activate my license?

1. Open Accounted app
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap "Activate Premium License"
4. Enter your license key (format: ACCT-YYYY-DM-XXXX-XXXX)
5. Tap "Activate"

Where do I find my license key?

+

Your license key is emailed to you immediately after purchase. Check your email (including spam folder) for a message from our payment platform with your license key.

Can I use one license on multiple devices?

+

No, each license is valid for one device only. If you need to use Accounted on multiple devices (phone, tablet, etc.), you'll need to purchase a separate license for each device. Contact us via Signal for team or bulk pricing options if you need multiple licenses.

I lost my license key. Can I get it again?

Yes! Contact support with your purchase email, and we'll resend your license key. Always keep your license key email saved for future reference.

My license key isn't working. What should I do?

Common issues:
• Make sure you typed the key correctly (copy-paste recommended)
• Check for extra spaces at the beginning or end
• Ensure you're using the latest app version

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

All your data is stored locally on your device. Accounted doesn't use cloud storage or send your business data to external servers. This ensures complete privacy and fast performance.

How do I backup my data?

+

Premium users can export all data as a JSON file. This can be saved to your device, cloud storage, or shared with your accountant. You can import this file anytime to restore your data.

What happens if I lose my device?

If you have Premium and exported your data, you can restore it on a new device. Without a backup, the data cannot be recovered since it's stored only on your device. We strongly recommend regular data exports.

Can I transfer data to a new device?

Yes! Premium users can export data from the old device and import it on the new device. The import process validates all data to ensure integrity.

Do you collect any data?

We only collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app (like which features are used most). We never collect your business data, transaction details, or any personally identifiable information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Technical Support

How do I get help?

What are your support hours?

We respond to support requests Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM (your timezone may vary). Free users: 48-72 hours. Premium users: 24 hours or less.

The app crashed. What should I do?

1. Try restarting the app
2. Update to the latest version
3. If the problem persists, contact support with details about what you were doing when it crashed

Your data is safe - it's saved locally and shouldn't be affected by crashes.

Can you add a feature I need?

We love feature requests! Contact us with your idea. While we can't implement every request, we prioritize features that benefit the most users. Premium users' requests get extra consideration.
