How to Activate Your Premium License

Follow these simple steps to activate your license and unlock all premium features.

Find Your License Key

Check your email for the license key

After purchasing, you'll receive an email with your license key. It looks like this:

Tips:
  • Check your spam folder if you don't see the email
  • The email subject line will contain "Accounted Premium License"
  • Save this email for future reference

Open Accounted App

Launch the app on your device

Open the Accounted app on your Android or iOS device. Make sure you have the latest version installed.

Check Your Version:
  • Go to Settings → About to see your app version
  • Latest version: 1.0.0 (or higher)
  • Update from App Store/Play Store if needed

Go to Settings

Navigate to the Settings screen

From the Dashboard, tap the menu icon (☰) or navigate to the Settings tab.

Finding Settings:
  • Bottom Tab: Tap "Settings" in the bottom navigation
  • Menu: Tap the hamburger menu icon and select "Settings"

Tap "Activate Premium License"

Find the license activation option

In the Settings screen, you'll see your current license status. Tap on "Activate Premium License" or "Enter License Key".

What You'll See:
  • Current tier: Free or Premium
  • License status card with activation button
  • If already premium: days remaining and expiry date

Enter Your License Key

Type or paste your license key

A dialog will appear with a text input. Copy and paste your license key from the email.

License Key Format:

ACCT-YYYY-DM-XXXX-XXXX

Where:

  • ACCT - Product prefix
  • YYYY - Year (e.g., 2025)
  • DM - Duration: 6M or 12M
  • XXXX-XXXX - Unique identifier
⚠️ Important:
  • Copy-paste recommended to avoid typos
  • Make sure there are no extra spaces
  • Use all CAPS (app auto-converts)
  • Include all dashes (-)

Tap "Activate"

Confirm and activate your license

After entering your license key, tap the "Activate" button. The app will validate your key.

✓ What Happens:
  • Key is validated offline (no internet required)
  • Premium features are unlocked immediately
  • Expiry date is calculated and saved
  • You'll see a success message

Troubleshooting

❌ "Invalid License Key"

Problem: The app says your license key is invalid.
Solutions:
  • Check for typos - copy-paste the key from email
  • Make sure there are no extra spaces at the beginning or end
  • Verify you're using the correct key (check email)
  • Try typing the key manually if copy-paste isn't working
  • Contact support if the issue persists

📧 Didn't Receive License Key Email

Problem: You purchased but didn't get the email.
Solutions:
  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Search your email for "Accounted" or "Gumroad"
  • Wait 5-10 minutes (emails can be delayed)
  • Check the email address used for purchase
  • Contact support with your purchase email

🔄 Already Activated, Want to Use on Another Device

Problem: You want to activate on a second device.
Solutions:
  • Use the same license key on the new device
  • Follow the same activation steps
  • Your license works on multiple devices you own
  • Don't share your license key with others

⏰ License Expired

Problem: Your premium features are locked after expiration.
Solutions:
  • Your data is safe - nothing is deleted
  • You've reverted to the free tier
  • Purchase a new license to regain access
  • You can continue using free tier features

📱 Can't Find "Activate Premium License" Button

Problem: The activation option isn't visible.
Solutions:
  • Make sure you're in the Settings screen
  • Scroll down to find the License Status card
  • Update to the latest app version
  • Restart the app and try again

❓ Lost My License Key

Problem: You can't find your license key email.
Solutions:
  • Search your entire email for "Accounted License"
  • Check the email address used for purchase
  • Look in archived or deleted folders
  • Contact support with your purchase email - we'll resend it
